First Look at Ryan Reynolds as THE GREEN LANTERN!

Nerds! Assemble! The first look at THE GREEN LANTERN we’ve all been waiting for is here! Today, on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, sits Ryan Reynolds (or a CGI copy of Ryan Reynolds, anyway) clad in green. Originally Mel Gibson was to be on the cover, but thanks to his latest “tantrum” we’re all getting an early look at what we’ve been waiting for. Thanks Mel!

According to Reynolds, Hal draws his power from “will and imagination”. “We need a circus of Timothy Learys to think of things Hal would invent with his ring.” Hopefully, later pictures and eventually, footage, live up to that description. Elizabeth Banks cast in TINK

Now this, if anything, is a real head scratcher. Elizabeth Banks (SCRUBS, ROLE MODELS, W.) is now in final talks to play Tinkerbell in Disney’s live-action romcom TINK. Even as I’m typing, I’m still not sure I believe the words I’m seeing. Seriously, my scalp is red.

The film, dreamed up by Banks and Max Handelman from production company Brownstone Productions, the actress’ own production company, is said to play on the characters mischievous qualities, which truthfully do lend themselves to a comedy. I’m just not sure if they lend as much to a romantic comedy.

Trailer: Iron Man 2

Nerds around the world have been praying for the arrival of the Iron Man 2 trailer. Now with the first pieces of viral marketing for Iron Man, teasing us all, it’s making the wait feel even longer. The trailer has finally arrived in all of it’s red-and-gold-clad glory. The trailer features old faces Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as new faces of Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johannson, Sam Rockwell and Don Cheadle. Cheadle, as most of you already know, will be taking the place of Terrence Howard and playing James Rhodey, Tony Stark’s best friend and superhero counterpart, War-Machine, who we get a glimpse at in the final seconds of the trailer. Howard left the project after a long, drawn-out financial conflict. Watch the trailer! Now!
